Job Description: Regional Operations Manager

We are currently looking to take on a Regional Operations Manager to manage our service-based operation in the South/South-East of England. Experience within the BEMS (Building Energy Management Systems) is essential. This would give you the opportunity to work for a thriving company in a thriving industry. Main Purpose:

The Operations Manager manages the performance of Kendra regional internal operational functions, including regional admin and engineers, to ensure profitability, build organisational effectiveness and capability to enable delivery of Kendra’s business objectives.

Key relationships:

Internal – Regional Admin team, Directors, Senior Management Team, Operations team members, colleagues across Kendra

External – Customers; FM’s, end user and partner manufacturers, including other key suppliers

Person Specification:

  • Excellent electrical knowledge / background with awareness of 18th Edition IEE Regulations
  • Excellent knowledge of HVAC plant and control applications
  • Good awareness of health and safety regulations
  • Excellent Communications skills (verbal and written)
  • IT literate (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to either work as a conscientious team player or work unsupervised
  • Excellent emotional intelligence skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workloads

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide office based technical and managerial assistance to the service support team within our Bourne End HQ.
  • Cost management and an understanding of P&L reports
  • Managing and producing BEMS additional work quotations
  • Producing financial job reports and forecasts utilising workflow management software (training available)
  • Supporting and managing the labour scheduling process
  • Identifying recruitment requirements and leading candidate interviews
  • Customer relations and good management of customer disputes
  • Consistent communication skills and planning skills
  • Understanding and Managing HSE requirements for business activities
  • Experience of Trend, Schneider, Honeywell, Priva and / or Cylon would be an advantage
  • Full compliance with company health & safety procedures
  • Completion of risk assessments for all on-site work activities

  • Minimising commercial risk by ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Efficient completion of engineering tasks within agreed timescales
  • Effective communication with engineers, project managers, customers site representatives and other staff
